Mount Kilimanjaro Trip

29 September 2011

We are back from successfully summitting Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in Africa at 5895meters. It was an unforgettable experience and the sense of achievement is immense!.

All 12 of the people in our group manged to reach Uhuru peak on the 23rd September 2011 at 7.05am We would like to thank African Walking Company who could not be faulted for their physical and moral support. We required 47 porters to haul all the food, tents, duffel bags, etc up the mountain and we were always greeted with smiles and helping hands whenever we reached the next camp.

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro

30 August 2011

Nicolette and I are going to be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro during September 2011 as part of this year’s “bucket list”. We will be away between the 14th and 26th.

The practice will be open as usual for hygiene visits.

Should you need see a dentist during this period, please contact Pam who will make the necessary arrangements for you to be seen by our emergency cover practitioner.

Our nominated charity for the climb is Naomi House, we would be very grateful for any sponsorship, which can be made through my Just Giving Page.

European Academy of Osseointegration

5 October 2009

Nicolette and I have just returned from a weekend in Monaco, I wish I could tell you that I took my lovely wife away for a romantic weekend, but it was work related!

I attended the European Conference relating to implants and was able to fuel my enthusiasm and get excited about new techniques, materials and methods for doing implants.  I believe that attending lectures of this kind are very important as a way of keeping up to date and being able to give my patients the best available treatment

We had a very nice weekend, Monaco is not for the faint hearted and I was pleased that Nicolette stayed out of the shops!
